Adult social media company Sharesome adds NSFW advertising options to platform

Adult social media platform Sharesome has announced that users can now promote their profiles and posts through paid advertising on the site. Launched in 2018, Sharesome now has over 1.5 million monthly visits, and aims to be to adult e-commerce what Instagram and Twitter are to mainstream online businesses.

Promoted posts are paid for in the platform’s “Flame Credits”, with campaign budgets starting at $5 USD. Ads are priced on a supply-and-demand basis, with current CPMs at $1 USD or less. “We see how sex workers are cut off from the opportunity to properly advertise their products and services on social media. With Sharesome Ads we’re organising the means to combat this unfair discrimination.” – Ralf Kappe, Sharesome founder

“With millions of searches for NSFW content taking place every day and a lot of these users coming to Sharesome’s feed already, adult performers, brands, and artists have a unique opportunity to build a strong followership on Sharesome. For Sharesome, a large focus for 2020 is about maximizing new and premium opportunities for NSFW performers, brands, and artists to authentically engage with Sharesome users.” – Andrew Nelson, Sharesome’s Head of Product & Marketing
