Model Tip of the Week: Don’t trust Twitter

When there’s breaking news in the adult industry like AB5 or social media TOS changes, Twitter can turn into an echo chamber of panic and fear-mongering. Before you freak out, look to trusted industry publications like Webcam Startup and Camland Podcast (as well as XBiz and YNot, among others) for coverage of the situation. If it is something that affects a site that you work on, contact site support to ask for clarification. Twitter’s “telephone effect” can make things seem like the end of the world, and while news does break on Twitter, it’s worth the extra time to confirm the details before you decide to take any action that may impact your business.
